Hello Gerard,

perhaps you can try to use 'event' data sets, that is store the (x,y)
coordinates as single vectors of same size as the signal. You may use
the 'event' iData method to transform a column data set into separate
events, and 'meshgrid' or 'hist' to revert to a nD grid data set.
